The Notts batting doesn't look all that immense on paper, so getting Hales is crucial. Notts might do some damage with the new ball themselves though, so they might not need huge score.

I'd guess Yorks are one win from the quarters.

I thought Yorkshire have already qualified as both Notts and Durham can't overtake Yorkshire on points, but Derbyshire can rack up a maximum of 11pts.

One win pretty much ensures a home quarter final, maybe enough to top the group and direct qualification to the semi-finals.

Well done Alex Hales on the ton, but Notts a long way out with only one batter left (with Read not so hot these days). Looks like an interesting contest.

Yes. I reckon though that Notts will feel confident of defending their score given the strength of their attack.I would back them to defend 250 & they should get more than that barring a collapse.

Yes, got to be Notts ahead on that score with their attack.

Timely knock from Read at the end after I suggested he was past it. I watched him a few times on Sky with the gloves about a year or so ago and his keeping had become poor. Still got something left with the blade though. Maybe he'll drop a couple for the Durham fans.

Might have been his last innings against Durham so he was probably never going to go quietly! I too thought he was well past his best so be prepared for a masterclass of wicket keeping!
Have to feel Jennings, Richardson & Collingwood will have to get most of these runs but I'll be very surprised if we get close.

Notts look like getting a wicket every ball & Jennings and Richo already back in the pavilion before Broad or Pattinson have bowled a ball. Apart from that it's all going according to plan.

Odd strategy from Durham.

Steel and Clark have been short of time in the middle so it must be hard for them against this attack. At least they should get some confidence by not getting blown away but I think the game was up as soon as the two form batters were out. Might be a slight chance if they can keep wickets in hand but can't see this attack conceding lots of runs at any stage.

Just having a net though if they don't have a strategy to win. Notts will be happy to sit back and let this happen.

Just about. I think a problem is the success so far has been based around the top 3 and Colly getting runs in the latter stages. That said these two have made half centuries against a top attack and that's a good achievement.

Clark & Steel having some luck but also playing some good shots. I doubt many 100 run partnerships will be conceded by Notts this year so this must give those two a lot of confidence.
