According to this month's Cricketer Bancroft has been offered a contract to return. It'll be interesting if the club have considered the following.

He could be involved with Sheffield Shield until April 20th if W. Australia reach final, he'll then make an excuse for some down time and then isolate for 10 days when he gets here. That could take us into early May by which time he'll have missed a handful of CC games which is quite a proportion.
Don't think I'd want him on those terms.

The Sheffield Shield is going on a lot later this year, isn't it. The idea of quarantine hadn't even occurred to me, in truth, although if he has to spend 10 days sitting in a hotel room, how much 'down time' is he likely to need beforehand?

The government says it will run a series of 'pilot' events for a small number of fans to attend in April.

If successful, "up to 10,000 people or 25% of total seated capacity, whichever is lower" will be allowed in stadiums for sporting events, but not before 17 May.

I think it will happen, tbh. I'm fully expecting to be able to watch championship cricket by the end of May. 25% capacity might have an effect on the T20 crowds, but after donating our subs last year, I'm not expecting to find any lottery type crowd limiting arrangements to apply to Durham Defenders

although I have been known to be wrong in the past

There was talk of a possible lottery for T20 v Yorkies but specifically stated only after all members had been allocated.25% of 15000 is 3750 which ,I suspect, would exceed the total membership.Just means no tickets for the Yorkies.

Talk of County Chiefs wanting to switch July County Championship matches with early June Blast matches to maximise attendances.

I hope so too, would not mind making a trip to CLS after such an enjoyable one in 2019.

Guess you Durham boys must be happy with signing Axar Patel, judging on the last couple of tests

He played for us at end of 2018 season. Not aware of a more recent signing.

Maybe I misheard, but Graeme Swann was saying on comms that he is going to play for Durham next year.
