Fantastic bowling by the Yorkshire attack today, superlative line and length bowling. Last time i've seen good bowling was Darren Gough and Matthew Hoggard ripping through the Durham batting line up in 2007.

Sidebottom was his ever reliable self.
Brooks was cranking it, getting the ball to pitch up and move.
Plunkett was bowling very quick
Patterson nearly got the batsmen to drag onto their wickets, twice.

Shame the rain came like, but maybe a good thing so the bowlers can put their feet up and go hard at em in the next two days (weather permitting).

What's happening with Tim Bresnan, Al? Everyone else has their England players available.

ECB have ordered Brezzy lad to rest, available for the Durham game.

The biggest dilemma is which Yorkshire batsman makes way for Root?

I think it'd be much better if Tim & Joe don't play against Durham, they should both put their feet up and have some more rest!

Cheers. Someone will be unlucky among the bowlers.

It's at least possible that Root, Bresnan and Bairstow could be available for a lot of the summer. Although the first two will be in the LOI squads. There is a bit of bench warning potential in the Tests.

A sign that we're likely to lose Bresnan to England commitments for the just about the whole of the summer, I suppose.

This Sidebottom fellow's showing some promise.

Or the fact that he wasn't a glamorously expensive turd bowler who happened to bowl 95mph or reverse swung it.... he was much more unglamorously faultless with his accuracy...

Shame, after England and Notts dumped him the rumour was that he had signed for Sussex, only for Yorkshire to hijack the bid at the end! :angry

He did alright yesterday, went at 2 an over, he shouldn't of been dropped after Brisbane, whilst he didn't look his best 4/120 are decent figures, he was much better than Anderson.

Didn't Peter Moores pick him when he was in charge ?? Maybe Sibo can find his way back ( albeit unlikely )
