They showed our game away to Derby in 2012 when they confirmed promotion by beating us.

According to David Lloyd, Sky will be showing the Lancs v Middlesex match.

I saw that, not too sure why though...surely Essex NEEDING to force a win for promotion while Worcester could use a win to win the title is a better option than Middlesex grounding out a bore draw to stop Lancs getting a miracle.

I'd have thought so, unless they're going to use the red button & show 2 games but that's highly unlikely.

Most FC runs this season ( min of 1,100 )

1. Adam Lyth - 1,558 runs
2. Ed Joyce - 1,454 runs
3. James Vince - 1,333 runs
4. Gary Ballance - 1,314 runs
5. Daryl Mitchell - 1,311 runs
6. Chris Rogers - 1,279 runs
7. Rikki Wessels - 1,213 runs
8. Scott Borthwick - 1,167 runs
9. Will Smith - 1,138 runs
10. Alex Gidman - 1,126 runs
11. Samit Patel - 1,125 runs
12. Jimmy Adams - 1,114 runs
13. Ashwell Prince - 1,112 runs

Yorkshire are the only other side to have 2 players in the top 10 ( and most of Ballances were scored for England ), no other side has 3 players on the list.

Our next highest rated is Michael Carberry in 49th place with 847 runs.

Jimmy Adams been rewarded with a benefit year next season, well deserved too.

I'd imagine Slug gets one in 2016. Tommo and Carbs can't be far off too.

Apparently the first time he has scored 1000 FC runs in a season - still Durham won the cup today without him so obviously still pretty strong!

He deserves his county cap but Hants don't give them out that quickly. Apparently a guy called Alan Castell was at Hampshire for over 10 years (& still shares their 9th wicket partnership record of 230 about 50 years ago) & he was never awarded a cap by the captain Roy Marshall!

Regarding Smith, he just seemed to fit at Hampshire as did Carberry. Other rejects such as Cowans, Giddings & far too many others (Braithwaite? Gatting?) have failed to make their mark.

Actually was a 2 year deal, the same as Smith, it was Coles that got a 3 year deal.

Hampshire have announced the signing of batsman Joe Gatting, who has signed on a two-year contract.

Gatting moves to the Ageas Bowl after five seasons with Sussex.
