16 points for a win isn't it? Meaning even if we lose both and Surrey win both (unlikely) they've still gotta outscore us on bonus points to get above us :).

I said Worcs were catchable. I said they wouldn't be the same without Ajmal.

I do actually hope they get promoted, because they'll be cannon fodder in D1 unless Ajmal is available for most of next season.

One more win for promotion, maximum. And two more wins for the title, maximum.

153 more runs for Carbs then and all our top 4 should (just 15 for Smith) be over the 1000 run mark!

I didn't realise how poor Wheater and Dawson had been until yesterday, they both need runs.

Also re-affirmes how important Ervine is to the balance of our side. His average is dropped by instances like our last innings where he has to play T20 shots for a dec from ball 1.

I don't see much wrong with Wheater's average of 37.66. He started the season batting down at 8. He is now batting at 7. He'll sometimes come in towards the end of the innings, when runs are already on the board and we just need him to get a move on.

If he was averaging 50, he'd either be in the England team or up in our top five.

His aggressive style down the order, coupled with the odd 70 or 100 here and there, is the perfect foil to the big runs churned out up the top by Adams, Carberry, Smith and Vince.
