Any of our lot for warks been to the game. Was the pitch playing as flat as the scoreboard indicates? Must have been a bit of live grass or moisture first up, bell winning the toss and batting may have cost his side victory

150 for Ed, well played that man! In answer to your question on the pitch Sussex, 333-3 (ominous!) game over, how many runs could we have chased down? 500+?

I think you are right, Bell won the toss and lost the game at the same moment.

Without a decent spinner most teams should be happy to bat second against us. Our bowling line up on flat pitches or dry pitches concerns me, and come July we might take a pounding here or there.

Still, no Luke Wright, no prior this game and we beat a team with a few England international's and England elects I it very comfortably.

Two tough games against fancied teams with their international's, and without ours...perfect start

Congratulations to Sussex and Ed Joyce, a comprehensive win. Warks have a lot of problems with both batting and bowling to address rather quickly.
I wonder if Chris Wright has lost his spark due to his back injury, he certainly was way below the dangerous bowler before his long lay off. Our famed pace attack is looking a thing of the past at present and Clarke's injury wont help.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

Poor Trotty :(

In a very tenuous link, there is a nice article in the latest Cricketer, about the tour matches at Arundel which John Barclay (read "Life beyond the Airing cupboard" which deals in part with John's own struggles with the Black dog) used to help organise, particularly the 1993 match against the Aussies, when 16000 people somehow squeezed into the castle ground to watch a great game by all accounts.

Ballance's runs seem to have gone a little under the radar. Two fifty plus scores in two games.

Ton up. Depending on whether or not England have already decided to go with Morgan, it could be an important hundred - trust to the landmark of of the leading options.
