We've all supported Hants for long enough to know how this works........

How true BBJ - a few minutes ago Leics had lost less wickets than any other team batting & they haven't won a CC match since Man Utd forgot how to win matches when Ferguson retired! A flurry of a couple of wickets means Derbys have now lost less wickets than Leics.

If only SB. I'm back in Dorset - the weather's great for gardening! For the first time ever apart from bad weather & a couple of matches when the traffic was terrible at various grounds I've left a match early. The bowling at times wouldn't have moved the skin off a thick custard!
Dreadfully disappointing but not surprising.
If Leics did win this match some of our posts this season would seem somewhat amusing/optimistic/desperately hopeful.

Tommo gets Robson! :dance :clap :hic :party :joydance

Incidentally guys at The Ageas Bowl couldn't decide whether Vince coming onto bowl so soon was either inspiration or desperation!

Nothing like a bit of pessimism to generate some wickets. Either that or the new ball.

The tenth wicket partnership in excess of 30 runs is pretty typical these days.

If we could have got the 10th tonight without batting, it would of been perfect. Still a good days play, their bowling attack is nothing to worry about.

Quick wicket and positive batting needed tomorrow morning

I thought we just about shaded today.

a little bit of credit to Tommo who plugged away all day without much luck , he thoroughly deserved the wicket of the excellent Robson (have England been playing the wrong brother ?)

I didn't think were brilliant in the field in all honesty , had we taken our catches albeit difficult ones we could well of had a bat this evening.

Andre Adams "almost certainly" joining Hampshire next year?
. Adams, who has struggled for the last couple of years with recurrent calf problems, now has a knee injury. Nottinghamshire are keen that he can turn out against Yorkshire next week, if only to give the Kiwi stalwart a fitting send-off in his last season before departing - almost certainly to Hampshire - but they are having to keep fingers crossed.

I knew Notts were desperate for Gidman because he was Andres replacement, I assumed he was retiring. I wouldn't say no to him, even if we can get 5-6 games out of him, would be good to have him about the place, im sure Wood and Coles can learn from him.

Interesting. Thanks for the heads up Captain.

So long as his wages are not too high, I'd take him for a year. For his experience if nothing else. Regardless of what division we are in, we need up to three new bowlers - at least two of whom can take wickets in Championship cricket.

I can't see us getting many games out of him, due to injury record. But hey.

Thanks for everything Pothas. You'll be missed. My nickname for you was apt and I will never forget it. For the last time, arise Sir Nic.
