The Middlesex declaration seemed overly generous given what had gone before. There was little runrate pressure and Northamptonshire were pretty much on top of the rate throughout. However if Middlesex hadn't dropped Proctor 3 times things may have been different.

Durham can't have enjoyed theirs either. They dropped the same bollock as Gentle Ben, but don't have another 4 days to try and claw it back
I'll bet Surrey couldn't believe their luck when Lees asked them to sit in the shade for the baking hot 2 days and then come out when the heatwave has passed
