Duck for Gay isn't a good omen.

we're relying on Robbo to score more than 5..... which feels like a bad place to be

what happened to McK?

Rhodes coming in might explain why we moved Gay to open. I assumed it was England prep

173-5

we'll be following on tomorrow..... we should have held our catches. Where's Colly when we need a fielding coach?

Clearly the pitch is better than it appeared yesterday. There was something there, but we couldn't find it once batters had been given lives, and we clearly (Bedders apart) haven't been able to concentrate as well as their top order did

A better day for the women. I hadn't realised there was a match today, or I would have gone

we chose to bat first and scored 292, built firstly on middle order partnerships with Hollie A at a steady scoring rate, then quick fire half centuries for Mia Rogers and Bess Heath to boost the total, before Katie Levick ran through their order en route to match figures of 6-37 for an emphatic win

We are suddenly 5th in the table after two wins in three. We were bottom, I think, not long ago. That honour now goes to Lancs (surprisingly)

Our NRR is the worst of any team, which shows that when we play the big teams we tend to get a hammering

McKinney picked up an ankle injury in the warmups- think it was in the nets. There waa something inevitable about Gay getting that duck! Sod's law.
Very poor again and it'll probably require some help from the weather or a mammoth stand between Bedingham and Stokes to get out of this predicament.
Very good win for the women.

It was. Did you go?

our next 50 over matches are away to Essex followed by Yorks at home. Both of which might be winnable before Surrey and then Notts thump us to within an inch of our lives.

They would be good games to win

I feel sorry for Old George

he gets the chance to play some CC cricket and then loses a whole day to rain.

I didn't go. Those two away games must be won.

Day 3 durham v kent seems to be a weather jinx. We were cursing it up here and they'll no doubt be doing the same down there

Yep. There can be absolutely no excuses for not saving this now. Although I'm making no predictions!

Day 3 of both matches v Kent were lost because of rain getting under the covers. Both times there was no play despite sunny weather conditions

Looks like both sides might have got away with a big slice of luck. Kent did..... will we? After last season, I rule nothing out

3 batting points seemed highly unlikely at 245/7 so excellent from the lower order- and if the last 3 had gone quickly there might just have been enough time for Kent to apply pressure.
Parkinson doing very well wifh the bat again.

100 partnership for the last wicket. Doesn't happen often.
