With all this cricket going on and Man city playing Man Utd I keep thinking it's a weekend.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

Looks a cracking knock by Van der Merwe. Going to beat Surrey with the bat on his own. From 22-5. Well, with the assistance of fellow SAn Dean Elgar.

Two exciting and unlikely chases today from Somerset and mow Leicestershire. Surrey and Lancashire will be wondering how they let those games go. Excellent individual performances from players of all 4 teams. Who needs T20 to get excitement.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

Remarkable by Somerset. I watched most of the second innings and the strange thing was - apart from Sanga dropping a sitter to reprieve Elgar when he was on about 5 - it was plain sailing by Somerset from 22/5. Stoneman and Borthwick showing some things never change - Rocky giving his wicket away after a very good start and then a hopeless spell of bowling from Borthwick!

Notts look like posting a big total v Yorks, where the Root bros are in opposition. A strong Yorks team taking the field with four England ODI regulars, plus Bairstow.
I always say that everybody's right.

A couple of wickets from Tim and Plunkett. Maybe they can keep Notts down to 250, though Broad and Patto could do some damage.

Nots all out for 185. Looks a good outcome, but gloomy in Nottingham and Notts have a good attack. Yorks ahead at halfway though.

Looks to have been a stroll to victory. Joe Root hitting a 6 off brother Billy to win the game.

Take that! Big win against a top one day side.

A bit meaningless given five players in the side won't be around, but good to see a potential cup winner, even if only in theory, all together.
