He has a point, the powerplay confused me, I thought you couldn't takeit with a few overs remaining, yet they were able too, maybe someone can clear that up.

Not quite as bad as it looks actually, I believe quarter finals were introduced this year weren't they meaning 4 go through from each league?

I think there is 3 divisions.

Nope, it's 2 of 9 but I think we only play everyone once.

Quarter-finals on 26th,28th,29th August so it's top 4 from each of the two divisions of 9 go forward.
Each team has 8 matches 4 home / 4 away in the league phase.

I'm not going to defend our guys, BUT...Wheater and Coles both reprimanded in that game, Dawson tweeting just one word "BULLSH*T", would suggest the umpires had a bad night.

Especially as Willey was one of the umpires-his tough guy persona is annoying in the extreme.

How good is Alsops keeping? My original thought was Bates then I remembered we had him around. We can't use Smith now he's turned into one of our best bowlers... (And I think I may prefer Bates in the side than Gatting actually...)

Sounds like the game was a pretty aggravating one.

Edit : Oh, he's still playing U19's then anyways I see :(.

Appears to be ok, cloudy most of the day but no rain forecasted like it was earlier in the week.

Tanvir looks to be doing well in the CPL with both bat and ball, maybe we can grab him for finals days :D ?

Our brilliant T20 win over Notts has rather disguised the fact to non-followers that in recent months our season has somewhat unravelled.

Exactly and Wheater will know that which makes his actions even more indefensible.

Think I may go then, been a LONG time since I have, and if I wait for the Yorks game on the 21st, we may be out of it by then.

With everyone beating everyone else, we're still only 2 points (ie one win) away from a qualification spot. In fact only 2 points away from 3rd. Despite having lost three from four!

And it's not even the other sides have a pile of games in hand on us. Only Essex (one of the sides on 4 points) and Northants (level with us on 2 points) have a game in hand on us.

Four wins from four should see us qualify. Three wins from four gives us a chance, but we'd be cutting it very fine. We'd need everyone to continue beating everyone else. And then keep our fingers crossed with NRR.
