It's all horribly reminiscent of the game last year where we made Middlesex follow on and lost.

Declaring with Clarke on 97no and looking for a second century on debut, feels harsh. I get that there is a match to win, but would it have hurt to let him go out this morning and give him 2 or 3 overs? A balance, I suppose, between not losing the extra 2 overs for change of innings and taking a chance to unsettle the Yorks openers by having to rush off the field and get ready to bat in a hurry

Yorks England players digging in for a draw.

Well done to Leics for a nerveless chase.

Disappointed Yorkshire did not even attempt going for a win, two wickets down with Kohler-Cadmore and Leaning still in the sheds. Run rate may have been close to 10rpo but at 16 overs left it is equation batting at that point. Even if wickets fell down, then shut up shop and get some valuable time in the middle.

Gary Ballance
Harry Brook
Ben Coad
Jack Leaning
Adam Lyth
Duanne Olivier
Steven Patterson (Captain)
Tim
Josh Poysden
Joe Root
Jonathan Tattersall (Wicketkeeper)
Tom Kohler-Cadmore
Matthew Waite

Tim is back for the trip to Southampton. Pillans makes way.

I'm sure Poysden is just included in the squad because Gale won't admit he dropped a bollock by signing him.

Luke Wood has been recalled by Notts after just one match on loan.

Would have taken Karl Carver to Southampton on the basis he has bowled over the winter in Straya and is a more economical spinner.

Doubt Yorkshire will play Poydsen tomorrow. Olivier and Patterson have to play so it's either drop Coad or Waite, or alternatively one of Brook and Leaning to go with 5 bowlers.

Same XI as against Notts.

Yorks bat first.

Helps a lot having Joe Root batting at four.

Gary Ballance being amongst the runs at number 3 is just as valuable when Root goes back to England.

Do Yorkshire sign an overseas opener post One Day Cup and move Brook down to 4 or sign a middle order batsman and persist with Brook opening?

Live streaming of Hampshire v Yorkshire

Picture quality not quite HD but will suffice, though Gareth Berg looks a bit like Noel Edmonds
