The Hampshire waggon is not just off the rails, it's overturned & on fire!
It's been going ****-up for some weeks now - morale must be rock bottom & the innings by Carbs (senior batsman) was a disgrace.

Not much help to us when we are desperate for bonus points though.

Dawson was caught at mid-on, which doesn't help either.

They'd probably be 60/0 had we put them in.

Adams did - so why did we bat first? Today's performance could easily be described as one of those things that happen occasionally to even great teams - even Australia & West Indies at their best had awful starts - but this latest effort is part of an alarmingly poor runs of results, decisions & personal performances.

We've only got 3 days for this match but Hants are batting (except for Carbs!) as if they believe the Handbook & various Saturday papers that had the Essex match down as a T20!

Yes, surely Adams with his experience, would be able to spot a dodgy pitch. I'm putting it down to poor batting and most of the side being out of form.

At least the game is advancing quickly after we lost day one!

Good news is, Leicester are doing well against Worcs, although they are only ever 10 balls away from being all out.

Fifty partnership, at least Ervine and Wheater are finding it relatively easy to bat so far. Maybe it was a new ball thing.

I spoke too soon, Ervine out. I think we can put Tomlinson in the same bracket as Jimmy Anderson batting wise. Both had maiden fifties recently. Good omen maybe.
