Yep. No chance whatsoever of Glamorgan doing what they need to do even with a full days play tomorrow.

and, of course, it hasn't rained since about 1pm, the sky has been much brighter and for the last half hour the sun has been out.

still.... I'm sure the umpires know what they are doing and didn't give it up too early. Perhaps the ground was too saturated, so it's just a shame that we didn't pay a load of money for state of the art drainage a few years ago...... ............oh wait!

If this had been a test match I can guarantee that we'd be playing right now. We'd probably have been playing since 4pm and the floodlights would have been on to make absolutely certain that we had a good 2 hours available to get 25 overs in so that no money would have to be returned.

Yep! Martin Emmerson suggested so much water has fallen that drainage is a problem. He reckons a good chance of no play tomorrow even if there's no more rain - and the forecast suggests there will be!

I have an appointment with the lady over the road from the ground at 6pm tomorrow. What time is the forum likely to start, Capt? If play ends early or doesn't start, will it still go ahead?

Marty's comment is far more factual than any weather forecast. The fact that the watertable is high, the water tanks are full so there's is nowhere for the water to go,no chance of play tomorrow then. The forum will be cancelled so I hope there'll be some media release in its place giving an undertaking towards team strengthening during the winter.

I'm not sure. Would imagine it'll be whenever close of play is and if there's no play it will probably be cancelled. I'll keep an eye on the Twitter updates tomorrow!

Due course probably means next year! Seriously though it will probably be either tomorrow or next week?

I'd welcome an update on the clubs future plans both on the playing side and financial side. It's rumoured that the trapdoor stand is to be completely replaced and a hotel and apartments built on the area behind it.

I think there has bern some work carried out behind that stand - and all.of the seats were removed again- so it looks as if they are planning something. Hopefully rescheduling that Forum and not just cancelling it is a sign they have something to say. Although we've thought that before!
