Unchanged XI, No Shah, No Wheater.

What's up with Wheater? Another game he's gone missing.

Bates is a better keeper.

He is, but Wheater is supposedly one of our power hitters up the order, ideal in this format. Trouble is he has been poor recently aswell, wondering if he might have the hump with the Bates keeping situation and he's rocked the boat. Haven't a clue just surmising.

Doubt it, because hes our keeper in the 4day stuff, think its more of a compromise.

Last game yes, but prior to that Bates has kept wicket in the CC.

3 down and still in the fourth over. Time for Maxwell to pay a longer more patient innings.

Apart from when he was batting in the top three in Carberry and Maxwell's absences, Wheater - like Ervine - just hasn't really done it with the bat this season in t20. 19 off 23 just doesn't cut in the middle order of a t20 game.

So instead we're going with the better keeper, and giving Smith, Coles and Wood a chance all slightly higher up the order (or in Smith's case today, much higher up the order).

In some ways I am pleased to see our top three all fall early today. Means that the middle order have to get us to a decent score themselves, rather than piggy-backing onto what the top three have done.

Thanks for everything Pothas. You'll be missed. My nickname for you was apt and I will never forget it. For the last time, arise Sir Nic.

If the wheels are going to come off the T20 campaign i'm seriously hoping it doesn't have a knock on effect in the CC.

Hants are 127-4 off 14 overs. Ideal partnership between Slug & Smith.
Hope the rain stays away as some games are yet to start tonight & others are already abandoned.

Jinxed it as Smith is out but Ervine is 42* with a strike rate of 150.
Maxwell owes Hants as much as KP owes Surrey!
