"Very close to a hundred, and it's a great feeling when you've got runs on debut on a wicket such as this where it's moving a bit, so I'm happy.

"I was thinking of hitting a six on the last ball (of the over) to score my century, I thought my partner would survive, he couldn't but that's part of the game and you can't blame anybody. It's nice I made 95 runs and the best part is that the team is in a good position."

Excellent performance, would almost certainly have been a 2 day win if it hadn't rained. Now they have an extra day or so to pressure for Friday - forecast suggests it might rain but the long range forecasts are hopeless. Think there's a reserve day on Saturday if required.

He was "ineligible" for the last washed-out group game so presumably still is. There was something on Twitter about the BCCI not letting their players take part in any T20 league apart from the IPL. I couldn't tell if the comment was sarcastic or factual! I suspect it's probably true because it would be foolish not to have him in.

Seems to be true. According to this article from May the BCCI are considering letting their players play outside the IPL but not before 2022!

that does make sense, because I can't think of any Indian players who play in other leagues
