I noticed the 12pm start a few days ago, anyone know why?

Today appears to be the only day with any rain so may be a tough decision whether to bat or bowl.

Don't know if they "need" it, but that is why

11am, but yeah, its happened a few times this season, but usually with teams that had to travel the night before.

A nice high scoring draw will do me in this game, obviously if most of the play is lost today then the draw becomes more likely.

A warm sunny day down on the south coast so far.

I wouldn't be disappointed if we picked Maxwell for this game.

Yep, I would happily take a draw here too. Surrey have thrashed Leicester and Derby in their last two matches (both by 10 wickets), as well as comfortably beating ourselves and Glamorgan in the t20 during this recent period too.

They're finally starting to get a head of steam behind them in the Championship and are looking like to the greatest danger to ourselves and Worcs. So whilst of course a win would be great - who better to beat but in-form side who sit in 3rd? - for me the most important thing is not to lose. Especially with us having a game in hand over them.

Thanks for everything Pothas. You'll be missed. My nickname for you was apt and I will never forget it. For the last time, arise Sir Nic.

More,I suspect, to give the grouhdstaff an extra hour preparation time as there was a game on the ground last night
