Lancashire have taken more wickets (231) than Middlesex (209) over the season, a bit harsh on Middlesex considering one of their games was abandoned without a ball being bowled.

Lancashire in effect require 41 off 14 overs with 2 wickets remaining.

With Derbyshire in total control it means for the second successive season Leicester will have failed to win a single 4 day game.
