Tough for Yorks to take eight wickets tomorrow on what seems a good batting pitch. This is a must win game, especially with Notts recovery.

Was just looking through records for most runs in a season and discovered something. Only 4 times since the year 2000 have 2000 CC runs been made. Once by Mike Hussey, and three times by Mark Ramprakash!

Hence why I said since the year 2000 in which it's always been 16 games still .

Was it Ramprakash who the the most recent to the 100 FC centuries?

I was debating this elsewhere as to whether it would ever be done again. If you hit 5 a season you'd need a 20 year career. If you were going well - say hitting 7,8,9 a season then you would probably get picked for England and therefore be taken out of the county championship a fair bit and not get the chance of enough games to do it.

Don't think it will ever be done again.

Phil Hughes has 26 centuries and he's 25 years old. He'd still need to average around 7 a year for 11 years to get up to 100.

Middlesex might be but Warwickshire wont be happy. A day lost to rain effectively ended our chances of pushing for a win. Hopefully the teams will agree a draw at tea so the Warks players can get back home and relax before tomorrow's ODI semi-final.

Also looks like he will be more consumed by England.

Whereas Hughes could easily play Sheffield Shield and County Champiosnhip for a few years.

Given the reduced fixture list realistic career milestones would be 50 centuries for batters and 500 wickets for bowlers.
