A draw against Warks isn't a bad result for us, but it does feel like we could have pushed on and given ourselves a real chance of winning this one with a more agressive declaration.

Ussie comes in for the next game which will hopefully bring that extra bit of class to shore up batting. While Moores' idea of trusting youth was noble and all, given our reliance on Kat last season it is a bit odd to think that we could step up Div 1 without replacing him. Of course it doesn't help that Reece has completely collapsed this season, but still, that overseas signing should have been there at the start of the season.

Think it was more of last wicket partnership nerves, the over before there was almost a run out with Kerrigan.

Well, we got close, but 340 was always going to be tough. That first innings knock from Coughlin ended up sinking us.

340 would have been a record 4th innings chase by a visiting side at the Riverside. It was 1 run more than that achieved by Joe Root last year for Yorks.

Might have even been a record 4th innings chase full stop, so getting to within 27 was a commendable effort. It certainly had a lot of hearts in mouths amongst Durham fans.

It was a great effort, I really thought we were doomed to defeat this afternoon.

Quite some comeback from 33 for 3!

Must win game if we are going to avoid the drop.

I'd like to see us pushing towards 450 / 500. Given how hit and miss our batting is, we only want to bat once.

You probably would only bat once if you declared now.

A fine day for the red rose, but we still need 13 more wickets. This is a must win game, can't afford to slip up now.

Looks as if this season will be more unpredictable than ever and that's saying something, Northants surely doomed to relegation but otherwise everything to play for.
