Durham are 98 after 19, so same path.
I'm assuming this is because of the revised bonus points structure, although Alex Lees (52* off 56 balls) probably also has one eye on England
Our attack keeps people awake at night, but in the way children cant sleep on Christmas Eve.

First ton of the season goes to the wonderfully named Finlay Bean for Yorkshire.

Nathan McAndrew rather pulled things back for you a bit once the gloom set in. That and some suspect batting choices.... although this is the England way and we've been told Durham are going to adopt it. 352-7 at 5 an over

Hants on top
Northants under the pump
Surrey recover well
Derbys somewhat squander their good start
Durham looking pretty well placed
Gloucs up against it
Yorks moving serenely through the gears
I think county cricket did quite well to get as many overs in today as it did

Followed by Dawid Malan.
And now Cameron Steel.
Feels like a nice day for cricket.

Middx have four ducks at the top of the order. An Audi, I think.

Middlesex under the cosh. 4-4 at one point and those 4 runs came from no balls
Yorks score 517 at 5 an over to put themselves in the driving seat, including 49 for GDB

Ackermann and Handscomb lead the Leics fightback with a century partnership
Simpson and Higgins bring up their century partnership too as Middlesex try to recover
Lancs are struggling 8 down v Surrey, where centurion Steel also takes a wicket
Gregory and Davey bring their 8th wicket partnership up to 80 as Somerset recover every so slightly v Warks
Notts have a 70 run lead with 6 wickets left in their low scoring affair at Hants
not as low scoring as Canterbury where Northants have started the 3rd innings 105 behind
Durham concede the obligatory 50 run 8th wicket stand and at this rate their 73 run lead might end up becoming a first innings deficit

ah, but Durham haven't conceded 50 for the 9th and 30 for the 10th yet
although they do have the new ball now

Harmer and Porter rip through MIddlesex once the 6th wicket stand ended
Notts in trouble now. 100 run lead but only 4 wickets left
Lancs in trouble... possible follow on
Northants need a captains innings from Proctor
Derbys, who went off like a train are now in deficit with 4 wickets still to take. Quite the implosion after setting off at 6 an over for a big chunk of day 1
Glammy are completely bossing hapless Gloucs
Sussex still batting..... of course
Leics struggling

For some reason Robinson, Anderson, Broad, Woakes, Mahmood, Fisher to miss the first lot of games. I wonder if this is from the ECB. Lancs wouldn't allow their 2 to play.
Only Stone, Potts and Overton are playing.
Stokes, Wood, Archer and Curran are at the IPL.

I read that Broad has been made available to play in 4 of Notts opening 6 fixtures, so maybe it's up to Notts to decide which 4. He might fancy playing the bulk of them at TB and/or other ashes grounds as part of his ashes preparation

Yorkshire won't be able to enforce a follow on. But I'm guessing that they will, new England style, try and biff a quick third innings and declare leaving a gettable target.
