He'd be welcome and I'm sure he'd enjoy the scenery but, if he went to Headingley to watch the cricket, he'd have to pay to get in, like anyone else.

Perhaps more so than at other counties (certainly more than Surrey), Yorkshire look to get value for money from their players. I think Panesar would have to offer to pay Yorkshire before the question was seriously considered.

It's simple more of a case where Monty Panesar can fit in the Yorkshire team.

Not at all. Merely an acknowledgement, genuinely felt, of the terrific work yorks did with Plunkett. The lad couldn't even let go of the ball when he left us, his head was so messed up. I know that Yorks wouldn't want Monty, and DL would want him even less, but somebody from Essex needs to be talking to whoever it was helped Plunkett, and turned him back into a test quality bowler.
