I don't think career average makes a bit of difference...its how well he can block

True. He's faced 619 balls in his FC career, from 62 innings. So basically 10 balls per innings.

But it matters not one jot. Off for bad light, that will surely be it.

Draw

Shame, but the weather today has ultimately defeated us.

Well, we expected a draw, so not too disappointed.

Knowing what the weather was like..we could of declared earlier and not wasted the new ball, but no point in playing "what ifs"

Still unbeaten..onwards and upwards.

Yep, everyone else has drawn today so not alot of change, one more game down, and hopefully one more game closer to promotion.

Unfortunate with the weather today, we're well on track for a win without disruptions :(. So, the team tomorrow? :D. Who do you think Maxwell should and who do you think he will come in for? I'm not that sure personally, I can see it simply being between Adams and Wood I guess unless you dropped Smith, which I can't see them doing given recent form.

Carbs,Vince,Maxwell,Shah,Wheater,Ervine,Coles,Smith,Abbott,Wood,Briggs - would be my XI.

The team are doing really well so any criticism may seem harsh but the weather forecast for today (& Saturday) was diabolical so last night was disappointing. However, I have often heard it said that many cricketers play a game on its merits & disregard any forecasts.

Apparently the scorecards at the ground have Coles making way for Maxwell, but that shouldn't be taken as gospel of course. The scorecards are often a man or two out from the actual XI.

That said, Coles is my second pick to get the chop, after Jimmy - so I wouldn't be unhappy if it is true. Now that may seem harsh given his batting vs Glamorgan and his bowling vs Essex, but the simple fact is that we are an exceptionally strong t20 squad. And given his bowling in the two away matches, for me Smith has made himself undroppable at present. Only if/when he starts to go for a few, should his place come under threat.

So on that basis, Jimmy (1st), Coles (2nd) and Wood (3rd) are the only three viable alternatives (I'm backing Carbs to find his form and destroy an attack before too long).

Please don't bat Maxi at 5...him vs Tredwell round 2 could be fun.

Tommo is very critical of Carbs on the radio..."its called a POWER play for a reason...needs to be powerful"
