No more cricket for the best part of a couple of weeks, so it isn't as though we'll feel the need to rest anyone after an exhausting schedule of 5 ball rounders

Fortunately he is still available for us tomorrow. Someone at the ground told me Notts are after him too! Hopefully there's nothing in it - I'm sure he signed a contract with us on the understanding he would do what is necessary to qualify as non-overseas so it'd be a surprise if he goes.
Chances are though he will get a full time gig next year in The 100.

As will Graham Clark

Carse " unavailable" - question is why? Whether the returning 100 players should be playing is one thing but why not explain why he is unavailable.

Probably offered quite a few quid to shake hands with some other players for a day or two and then sit on his @rse for a day
I'd have taken that deal if it was offered to me.
I'm just glad that England called up Malan in an attempt to solve their top order woes. Given that no-one has any recent red ball cricket under their belt, any call ups would have to be based on current white ball form and I feared that we might lose Lees again for the final 4 CC matches
