A big day for Warks today as they try to finish off Northants with Keith Barker doubtful to bowl. A win would keep them in touch with the leaders.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

Got one as Middlebrook yet again fails to push on from a good position.

Warks rap up with a comfortable win in the end, Woakes 8 wickets in the match reminding Bears fans of much his wasted time with England may have cost us.

Hampshire's win was like an innings defeat, they could have let Essex bat a third time and still won handily.

I wonder if Monts still feels wanted?

Ten wickets for Yorks feels like a tall order on a pitch where wickets are falling slowly.

I had a chance to go yesterday to Arundel, but something came up at the last minute. A shame as I would have liked to see Johnny B batting well. That will have done him the power of good.

Usually there is a positive result at the Castle, but it seems to have flattened out this week.

A draw against this strong Yorkshire line up would be no disgrace though.

I think we got 10 points - not too bad a return from a drawn match.

Ajmal $ overs for ten runs, winning another game maybe? Trott 39 off 38 balls rather slow for T20 but a personal test passed.

Arundel not the most helpful of wickets, the most important thing for Yorkshire is to remain undefeated.

Title race is hotting up in the next fortnight with a fair few top of the league encounters, Warwickshire game on Sunday is huge.

Sri Lanka batsman Tillakaratne Dilshan is to join Surrey as their overseas player until the middle of August.

The 37-year-old replaces South Africa's Hashim Amla, who arrived on a short-term deal after captain Graeme Smith suffered a serious knee injury.
