29 needed off 30 balls, nothing stupid needed, Shah 28 off 26.

Vince seems to be scoring runs in almost every innings.

The last thing he needs is an England call and then carry drinks, which I fear may happen.

Cracking wsy to finish and the winning margin improves our run rate nicely.

Pretty clinical and professional. Take Wood's third over out of the equation, and the first over of our innings, and you couldn't really have asked for too much more. I didn't think it was possible post Dimi and Macca, but we're possibly looking better than ever in t20. Especially our death overs with the ball. And we simply do not panic with bat in hand.

Had we batted the full 20 overs, we'd have probably reached 170. And that despite two maidens and having eight wickets left (ie, if we'd need to we could have taken more risks with the bat). So on a wicket were Essex only made 145, we potentially could have made the best part of 200.

I still think it will be Adams to make way, and Vince's post match interview has only strengthen this (he said that when they think about who will make way, they will take into consideration the option to rest someone for the County Championship). However he played a decent little innings tonight to get us up and running. When you throw in the fact that Maxwell also provides a bowling option, and it could potentially be Carberry, Coles, Smith or Wood that make way, rather than Adams.

Excellent performance by Hants.
Teletext states that Vince is leading T20 scorer - has he scored 4 consecutive 50's?

Squad v @DerbyshireCCC: Adams, Abbott, Alsop, Balcombe, Bates, Briggs, Coles, Ervine, Gatting, Smith, Tomlinson, Wheater, Vince. #LVCC

No Carbs. Presumably Balcs and Alsop will miss out.

The start of four consecutive tricky looking CC games for us. If we can come out the other side of them with two wins, I think we'll be in an excellent position for promotion. I'd even take one win and a couple of draws.

Rain currently predicting for day four, but looks like there's every chance of getting three dry days in before then.

Still great to see how far ahead of everyone else in D2 we are on batting points.

Even if D1 (where only Northants have played fewer games than us), the team with the highest number of batting points is Yorkshire and they are two points behind us.

Its good to get Derby out of the way whilst they don't have Shiv, although North will be a tricky opponent.

Would of been nice to have Carbs available, but such is life.

Bresnan has played for Yorks, despite not being listed originally, so it is possible Carbs will be released.
