Sean Ervine says he will be proud to become the first to play 100 T20 games for Hampshire when they take on Essex at the Ageas Bowl on Friday.

The 31-year-old Zimbabwean has been with the county since 2005, helping them to the title in 2010 and 2012.

Carberry for Gatting appears the obvious change.

Great news, but one word of warning is that it increases our chances of leaving batsmen unused in the hutch. We've been doing that enough so far this season really, so I'd rather it didn't continue (or if it does, that the guys who do get a bat take us to over 200). Coles for example has only faced two balls since his opening day innings. So unless Bates replaces Wheater, I'd hope we don't get another Shah/Sussex or Wheater/Middlesex type innings, because either Wheater, Smith or Coles will be as low as no.8.

Shah has been given a contract for the remainder of the t20 competition. To me, that just furthers my belief that it will be Adams to make way when Maxwell arrives.

Kings XI looks set to make the final ( 78-0 off 6.3 atm ), and I believe thats on Sunday...either way, tonight is the last game he misses.
