Shabby way to treat one of their greatest. Fifty wickets at 17 last summer so good luck replacing him in the short term.

Doubt he will seek a move elsewhere so a sad end to a great career. Reckon both England and Lancashire could have shown a bit more class handling his- arguably premature - exits.

Agreed. He was one of, if not the best all round all round bowler in div 2 last season (a few bowlers had more wickets, but none could match Jimmy's average, econ and strike rate). Odd that anyone would drop him at all, let alone an all-time great in such an ignominious fashion. Shame on Lancashire.

Lancs had a dreadful season in CC2 and their fans are not happy. Maybe looking at a new beginning.

Could be a coach, but maybe means a drop in wages.
