Aussie bowlers are not happy that there might be some sort of suggestion that they might have had a bit of an idea that balls were getting scuffed up illegally

thank goodness for that.... I always knew they were completely unaware. I know this because they would have said something at the time if they had known

Schedule for this winter's ashes series has been announced. Brisbane starting 8th Dec and concluding in Perth, surprisingly, on 14th Jan

It's a tight schedule; 5 tests in a 6 week period. England will need plenty of physios and/or a big squad to rest players with

Very busy. What about warm-up matches?

T20 is a bit of a bullyboy, isn't it?

Who needs warmups for modern cricket?

And then we wonder why England get thrashed every away Ashes and home advantage is almost unbreakable for many teams. :no

The only benefit I can see is that Australia will have the same pressure. Will their big three quicks make it through that schedule without rest or injury? The backup bowling isn't bad, but Cummins and Hazlewood have been a class above the competition in recent years (Starc not so much...).

Do we know the rationale behind moving the Perth test? It hasn't been the 5th test venue since the nineteen seventies or something

Presumably it will be at the new venue rather than the WACA

36 yr old Boyd Rankin has retired from international cricket. Always felt sympathetic towards him for how he was treated by England. Shame he didn't stay with Ireland.

ICC are reverting back to 14 team world cups from 2027 after cutting it from 14 to 10

They are bringing the 8 team Champions Trophy back from 2025 after scrapping it

It's almost as if they thought they knew what worked and what didn't, what people wanted and what they didn't, and then found out they got everything completely wrong

Now that the Champs T is back there's no room for the World Hundred between now and 2032..... They not have recognised the bleeding obvious and had to reverse their last round of changes, but that might have been so obvious that even they'll get that call right
