Looks like the next t20 competition would have a super 6 format or super 12 format.

ICC will restore the WCT20 to every two years! Just like they will shelve the ICC Trophy. It never happens.

if the broadcaster agree to it then t20 world cup will happen every 2 years.
ICC going to have a meeting with Star Sports.
Although it depends if Star Sports wants to pay extra money for 2 extra competition.

Could be interesting since Star Sports and Sony might be fighting for the spot.
BCCI thinking of holding a mini ipl overseas during that time and ICC wants T20 world cup during that slot.

I don't mind a biennial World T20, it's a more realistic pathway for the Associate/Affiliate nations to take and develop their status in World Cricket.

I hope Australia and New Zealand get to host the 2018 edition, they put on a fantastic show for the 2015 World Cup. Timezone wise should not count against them as England matches can either be scheduled 10pm GMT in New Zealand or around 10/11am GMT in Perth, when the new stadium gets built.

Australia have already got the 2020 edition.

They can't bid at the moment so not sure what happens if the ICC want it there.

TBH they can say they didn't bid for it and that ICC just wanted it there.
for ICC events boards don't really bid for the event they pretty much given it since in reality if countries were to bid india would win all the time, think they scrapped the bidding process after the fiasco of the 2011 world cup bidding process where Aus/NZ had the best bid but india just gave loads of money to get the world cup in asia.
since then ICC been giving tournaments out.

SA government always been a joke, they even threatened to ban the SA team from leaving to the uk during the last world cup in the rugby.
the government all talk but doubt they will take action.

Think CSA meeting with the government anyway and are likely to pick one extra black person in the team to get the ban uplifted.

the government is really a joke.

Reckon we should have a thread on SA pathetic quota system.

http://www.espncricinfo.com/zimbabwe/co ... 20025.html
SA should learn from this, same thing would happen to SA when players are picked on colour.
Players won't feel like player, loads would retire, even the black players won't enjoy it since they feel their playing games because of colour and not ability.

So jokes the pathetic government can't see it.
