Then when Flower gets his 2nd spell as England coach, Moores becomes Super Elite Director and the cycle continues!

Inevitable really.

One of the great all-rounders.

Yes happy retirement. A lot of good press coming out for him as both a player and a person which is nice.

A phenomenal player who combined his uncanny dual talent with a longevity that demands admiration. At his best, he could hardly be got out. He engendered that sense of futility that only the best provoke. England didn't suffer as much as other nations, and probably his most impressive batting against them was in the losing series of 04-05. It doesn't seem unfair to say that his lack of charisma led to him being a little underrated. And he seemed a difficult man to feel like you knew... But he will be remembered as an all time great, not just for South Africa, but in the game. Credit for his catches too. All the best to him in the future.

Nicely put AC. The term 'world class' is much too over used in my view, but it's totally appropriate to describe Kallis as such.

So far 665 players have represented England at test cricket.

According to Cricket Writers on TV today the next debutant will be given an option to wear 667 rather than have the Number of The Beast.

Madness.

Despite becoming the first Australian (male) to hit a double century in one dayers (Aus A v. SA A, last week), Phil Hughes has not been selected in the team to visit Zimbabwe.

The selectors are taking the 'A' games seriously then!

probably not Zimbabwe, either.
