Seems Like Giles Clarke will tell the media tomorrow on what is happening with the series.
Be epic if India plays Pakistan in England next year.
Would definitely go to it and reckon the crowd will be good for it.

If people feel as strongly as a poster on here does, maybe they should just not do it. In another ten years, things might be different. India playing Pakistan in ODIs in SL has no real benefit for the game, or either country.

Maybe there is something within the labyrinthine circuits of 'cricket diplomacy' that might be furthered between the nations? Aside from those involved feeling they are doing important work, I don't see what the gains are.

It is BCCI's mistake to sign MOU to play cricket wit Pak (subject to Indian government clearance) during the Big 3 selection.

"Pakistan is due to tour England for a full series from July onwards and in 2010 played two Tests against Australia at the Lord’s and Headingly with considerable success due to the large South Asian population in the United Kingdom"

:lmao

It was an absolute failure! Yorkshire made a six figure financial loss in hosting the Pak-Aus test match and it sent the club backwards for 4 years.

Haven't really seen much aggro but if ECB are smart they would have to do home and Away sections.
Both sides are at fault sometimes but it can be horrible places to watch if you surrounded by the wrong crowd and people are too drunk or high and are being a nuisance.

it is quite possible india and Pakistan will be the biggest series next year in England if the tickets for Eng vs pakistan/Sri lanka not exactly selling well.

I really hope ECB be smart and try to make the ticket cheap/affordable I still doubt people would pay 70 pounds for the tickets even if it is India vs Pakistan and it would have international interest.

yeah it was a massive failure but doubt ECB/Counties would turn down an india vs pakistan series.
by reports it was Giles clarke that wanted India vs pakistan in england.

I just hope he doesn't get greedy and charge loads of money for it.
It should get big crowd but you can never know.
Pakistan vs Australia was a different case Counties paid stupid amount since they assumed pakistan fans would come but they obviously wouldn't pay big money for it especially for a test match.

When Stewart Regan was Yorkshire CEO, the club swapped the England v Bangladesh test match for the neutral one. Ticket prices were not neutral friendly, something like £35 to £70 depending on where you sit. There was a lot of marketing in the cities with South Asian communities, something which annoyed me because that type of money could be better spent on promoting County Cricket.

I reckon Headingley will be a red hot favourite to host a test match, especially with nearby Bradford being a target of encouraging grassroots participation with South Asian communities (not that it ever need encouraging).

PCB confirms that it has received acceptance from the government of Pakistan to play a series against India

Also the test series in England is not happening or is not a serious idea right now.
Guessing PCB doesn't really wanna play the Test especially when it doesn't make them money and ECB would probably get the ticket/ground revenue in England, probably more attractive for England then Pakistan.

first test between both sides likely to be in india.

the shocking thing is that india vs pakistan is not even a marquee series even India vs SA been given that title now.

Will only be 3 test in india and 2 in Pakistan/UAE.
Although they are scheduled to be a series every year barring any future attacks in either country.

So....when you think we'll see the first D/N test in England?
