most Important paragraph in the whole article imo

England cannot go into the Ashes series with Cook still waiting to score a hundred. He has five Tests to get that monkey off his back and score a couple of hundreds. If the Ashes starts with the focus still on Cook’s batting then it will be a messy series for England.

The media will watch Cook closely.

The KP sacking has meant that all Cook's failures are magnetised and he will be feeling the pressure.

WIs are one of the weaker nations now and big runs will be expected of him.

I see this year Red kookaburra are not made well.
Umpires didn't like the balls in the Australian series and the Commentators just now in the NZ game complaining about the same problem and even said get the Test balls from another box of balls.

Have you noticed CF, that the balls used in club cricket are more harder than the ones which are used for international level ? Sometimes that makes me wonder why the regulation catches are still dropped so often.

Just watched that for the second time - first time was last test - and it is very good.

1. Hasn't Richie aged a lot in the last couple of years?
2. He does a decent Bill Lawry impersonation.
3. The Sunbeam looks a little like a surprised, and flattened, Brum.

I was totally shocked when I saw him. He has aged quite a lot.

He had that serious car crash, and then has undergone treatment for skin cancer. At 82 (85?), or whatever he is, these things are bound to knock him around.

But yes, I was similarly shocked when I first saw it. It is part of our lives disappearing from us.
