Must have had a nod. It's a bit provocative naming Amir if there's a chance he might be refused a visa.

Already I can see the start of the documentary about this series 10 years down the line.

Colville wouldn't open his mouth without the ECB's say-so!

Maybe just trying to attract attention to the series.

Sri lanka not happy with the teams ECB and the counties provided.

Suspect Sri lanka won't give ECB A team games when England tour next time.

Wouldn't surprise me if in the future if ECB forced to make counties field stronger teams or Counties would have to reluctanly release players to play lions games.
CA supposedly signed a deal where they would provide strong opposition before the Ashes in Australia if ECB do the same thing for them.
BCCI are looking for the same sort of deal.
WICB famously gave an awful team and reports stated it was because ECB gave awful preparation earlier to the West indies players.

tough one though since in reality in Warm up games the opposition bowlers wouldn't really want to go all out so the touring batsman will always feel that batting not the same to the actual test match, in reality it only really suits the bowlers since they can get overs under the belt and get tested since often it is the batsman that are the first team men or the experienced players.

It certainly proves the current trend where literally no teams are happy with the warm up arrangements, I will blame it on them only having 1-2 weeks to prepare for the test and so they essentially feel they need to do everything in the warm up games they get and when their actually see the Flat pitch, average bowling attack they just think it is poor peparation but guessing it isn't actually that different from the 90s or the 80s.
when the teams had 6-10 warm up games before the Test matches and during it.

Is this the same Sri Lanka team that scored under 300/12 vs Essex, which was about 100-150 runs short of what Essex got losing 4 wickets

Or the same team that conceded a first innings deficit to Leicestershire, who declared with half an innings down?

Clearly outclassing the dross :no

yeah bit odd complaining about quality of teams when those teams were thrashing your team.

South Africa agree to the Day-night Test match, likely SA players will be well paid for the game by the CA board.
wouldn't surprise me if they got paid more than double what NZ players got.
