That would pretty much harm all boards.

or it would show the BCCI up for being a bunch of selfish assholes more interested in money than the good of the game

ICC could just turn round and not recognise the BCCI as the official cricketing body of India and issue hefty bans to any cricketer participating in a BCCI event (namely the IPL).

which also wouldn't really help anyone as the possibility of the BCCI running a longer IPL would create a modern day Packer situation

we've got people trying to fix a really bad deal from a couple of years ago and greed showing up front and centre

Banishing cricket boards is not an ideal situation, but if the BCCI are throwing their weight then i'd like to see the ICC respond.

The BCCI may end up going all Kerry Packer, but the ICC and test nations can counter that by forming a World Club T20 Championship for example. An annual 2-3 week tournament where domestic T20 winners qualify, with each test nation given opportunity to host it.

Doubt that would work considering the failure of the Champions league was down to the indian viewers and broadcaster not want to broadcast or watch non indian team games.
plus can't see any english or Australian broadcaster paying for it either.

if anyone doesn't believe this is still a coup by CA and ECB plus the other full member.
https://www.theguardian.com/sport/blog/ ... -australia
ECB got around 100M more, CA 90M more during the Big 3 deal.
wonder why they allowed to keep that money and the other full members gets a huge increase.

Not the same at all. He quit cricket to shag Pippa Middleton full time, and have daddy find him a nice respectable banking career in London.

I am sure money was exchanged by daddy to buy his 1 England cap too..... quite how such a bang average cricketer was ever mentioned in a selection meeting is an abomination.

Blackwell isnt in the same league as Loudon. At least Blackwell could claim a specialist skill, he averaged near 40 with the bat, and had a handy knack with the ball. And if memory serves he had very good years at that stage, he felt like a chance pick that was wrth a try. In fact, for England he was actually a terribly underrated performer, didnt take wickets but not many teams took him apart. A bit like Yardy really, had a limited overs style that he made hard to get away.

He must have played a few games for England. At least 20-25 times.

Is it fairer that all cricketing boards get a similar amount to help grow and maintain the game? Diluting and weakening the world game will not help cricket in the long run.

Is IPL and BBL income separate from all this. Does the BCCI and CA have other revenue sources from their domestic leagues?

BCCI probably get a lot in sponsorship.

I know India have a lot of international grounds, but where does all that money go? The grounds appear not to be the standard of those in the UK or Australia(with out being to them i know this is an assumption).

If the BCCI gets extra money from sponsorship and money from the IPL, as well as double the amount of money from the ICC, how is it that Cricket Australia can pay its players more than the BCCI pays its players?

Where does all this money go for the BCCI?

THe new stadiums are well built and liked by the media and teams, cleanness could be crap for test matches but good for ipl and ofi.
Only really green park and Chennai is hated by people.
