Even as is, the point system is skewed away from test cricket.

it is ridiculous (imo, of course) that winning two 20 over matches gives the same points as winning a 5 day test.

At least they have the test the last match of the series, which is an improvement.

Though, it was not without its wobbles.

It was lost in the England innings though. They just didn't score enough, Aus kept them under the gun for much of their innings.

Why did England wait until the 15th over to bowl the #1 ranked bowler (ODI at least) when they needed quick wickets?

A couple of drops, both around key times, added to their woes

After an abysmal run chase in the second ODI failing to chase a sub par total, England are now on course for an utter thrashing in the third ODI.

Ash Gardner is just a bit good...

A very good series for Aus, and must be hugely disappointing for the England team and camp. Australia got better as the series went on, England appeared to go backwards.

Two things I noted in the last 10-15 overs that I did see were the great catch on the boundary by Ash Gardner and the fact that (I think) Alana King had the figures of 0/42 from 5.4 overs. 14 deliveries later, she had 5/46

after 2 matches where England probably only had themselves to blame, they got an absolute thumping in the 3rd. This series is going to be done and dusted long before they get around to the only test match, which is a damned shame, but unquestionably the deserved result

England get a good kickstart to go with their change of game format - both Alyssa Healy and Ash Gardner are out due to injury (for how long, as well, is the question).

Pathetic.

And even more pathetic, they've allegedly thrown their toys out of the pram about being criticised by the BBC commentators.

England have gone backwards under Lewis. Only Sciver-Brunt looks like she'd get anywhere near this Australian team - even Ecclestone, who's been ranked no. 1 for a while, has been poor. And several, like Bouchier, Knight, Beaumont, Jones and Filer have been nowhere near the level we expect of them. Time to move on, methinks.
