England have dropped 4 catches in the first 10 overs of this match v SA
all tough ones, seemingly, but all grassed

England have controlled the scoring rate pretty well, but Kapp is beginning to cut loose. They could do with knocking her over. With 3 overs left she could cause havoc

Just as SA were threatening to rattle some big runs off, Ecclestone comes on, dismisses Kapp with the first ball and keeps the over to 4 runs

124-6
first 130 looked on, then 120 looked too many and in the end a big thump and an inside edge means SA split the difference
Seamers got creamed, spinners tight and tidy.... there might be a lesson in there somewhere for this ground

124 might be very competitive

mature, measured chase. They saw Kapp off, kept their heads, stayed up with the rate and walked away with the win

NZ got battered by Australia in the way that they themselves battered India

India, needing a win to ensure they make the semis, went into the last over against Australia needing 14 runs with 5 wickets in hand.
A 4 run, 4 wicket over means that NZ will make the semis with a win over Pakistan, and India need Pakistan to win for them to make the semis.

yes.... all a bit chaotic, and it won't do for India, I suspect
Aus move serenely onwards to the semi finals

not as serenely as we'd like, DF.
Velasik (sp?) the team's fastest bowler, I think, dislocated her shoulder in an innocuous looking boundary fielding effort. Captain Healy has given herself an "acute foot injury" in going for a second run with victory in sight. Possibly the end of the tournament for both.
I've just written this, then realised that this all happened the previous game, against Pakistan. The tournament is just flashing by me...
Yes, especially considering the above mentioned injuries, it was serene.

I am assuming that England will finish top of Group B, though any of the Windies, SA and England can make the semis, and can miss out.
If England beat the Windies, Aus will play SA (assuming the standard crossover system is in place) and England will play India or New Zealand - Pakistan if they have a thumping win, but I think that is unlikely.
I am guessing they'd prefer to see India knocked out. As would Aus, despite this win. Aus have a very good record against NZ of late - won the last 10 matches against them.
