New Zealand are set for a full programme of international cricket during their summer with men’s tours by West Indies, Pakistan, Australia and Bangladesh while a visit by the Australia Women’s team is also in the early stages of planning for the gap created by the postponed ODI World Cup in February. NZC are currently working with the government on the biosecurity measures that will need to be in place for the touring teams with visitors to the country currently required to isolate for 14 days on arrival.

David White, the NZC CEO, said they are looking at a model similar to that used by the ECB during their ongoing season, which was the first international cricket to resume amid the Covid-19 pandemic. “We are making tremendous progress. I was just on the phone to the West Indies, they’re confirmed, Pakistan is confirmed, Australia and Bangladesh… so 37 days of international cricket,” White told reporters in Auckland. “The White Ferns will tour Australia in September and then the Australia Women’s team will tour New Zealand in February. We are just working through the content but probably five ODIs and three T20Is.

Tim Southee will take over as captain of the Blackcaps Test team when Kane Williamson steps down. As the team's vice-captain for Test matches, Tom Latham has been officially announced.

Seems Neil Wagner has retired. Deserves to be remembered as a persevering and resourseful pace bowler who worked hardest when the pitch was flat. Good luck to him after cricket. 260 Test wickets at 27.6.

In domestic cricket he took 5 wickets in a 6 ball over.

baby out with the bath water?

Knocked out of the WC despite only playing 2 of their 4 matches and before they got to play any minnows for easy points and a confidence boost. Their schedule was dreadful, playing their first match so late into the competition and they were on the back foot from the off.

No excuse for 75 though.... Durham-esque!

Kane Williamson has retired from t20I....to be honest the way he is picking and choosing games he may as well retire from international cricket full stop....they have the batters coming through to replace him he hasn't been a regular for a while now...move on clean break bring the future players in

Maybe should keep on in Tests. Arguably he's been a liability for NZ in limited overs in recent years though, with his 1980s scoring rate.
