wow!

easy to say the bowling standard must have been more or the ground must have been small, but still pretty amazing.

Will we see him in the IPL soon?

The mental stamina displayed along with time occupation at the crease is just as, if not more impressive than the actual score itself.

Wasn't at the crease that long. Wasn't the strike rate something like 300?

The opposition players had never played a game of cricket before. Doubt they will want to play another one!

depends if they missing school lol.
still remember days that we played middlesex cup and going to random posh twats schools and pretty much getting thrashed by posh twats.
No one really cared lol, missed school innit.
the only bad side was getting knocked out in the first or 2nd round was straight knockout games.
think we only won one game all the 5 years of playing middlesex cup games.
In schools we only played middlesex cup and brent cup/league where you just play local school in the borough.
Middlesex cup was the main one, Still remember the shock when we went to some posh school in year 7, thought we would thrash them because their were all white lol and assumed it would be like it was in sports day when only Asian can play cricket lol.
Playing middlesex cup did show the gulf between private and state school in term of cricket.

393 minutes, or 6 and a half hours. Not even club cricketers bat that long in a game.

Isn't there a huge overreaction over this? It's just a step up from a park game.

I don't think there was a big fuss at first. The lad got congratulated by the sports Master but then the lad got fined for asking if he could take his daughter out for a drink later.

In two minds over this.

On the one hand it is obviously a remarkable performance and one that will take a long time matching.

On the other, was a score of 1400-3 really necessary after bowling the other team out for 30, plus there are quite a few issues with the plausibility of the scoring (the number of balls adds up on the scorecard, but still that run rate is unbelievable - not least the frequency of the boundaries, but once you take the boundaries away, he made 139 runs off 139 balls in 1s and 2s etc despite the naturally short boundaries).
