Irene Cara, singer of Fame, and Flashdance, dies at 63.
Yes, I thought the same thing too.
But Fame has a fantastic vocal.

I never know that actors had been in Harry Potter when they die. I know Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson, but I expect I'll go before them.
I remember Leslie Phillips for Venus, with Peter O'Toole, in his later years.

just spotted that Doddie Weir died yesterday. 52. It took 6 years for the MND to get him. More than half of all sufferers pass away within 2 years
his foundation raised many millions for MND research and support, seemingly. A fine man. RIP

Sorry to hear about the death of Terry Hall of The Specials. Sounds like he had a distressing life, which I'd not heard about.

Mike Hodges has died, best known as director of Get Carter. I thought a later film, Croupier, was a good thriller.

Clive Inman died 7 December aged 86. Played for Ceylon before it became Sri Lanka. Saw him make a wonderful century against Kent at Canterbury playing for Leicestershire. Once held the record for the fastest half century (8 minutes in those days!)RIP.

they're nearly all gone now
Bobby Charlton, Geoff Hurst, Ian Callaghan, Terry Paine and George Eastham are the only surviving players from the 22 man squad, I think
