Brad Haddin has retired. He's been a great servant for Australia. I guess Peter Nevill is now the man.

He's retired from ODI cricket, although weirdly I thought he retired after the World Cup.

Still coming for the Ashes then?

He'll definitely want to use the ashes to bump his career averages right up before retiring. Who can blame him.... if the Don had played his last series against this England side he'd have probably ended up with a career average of 110

Braddin enjoys beating the English doesn't he. They'll be thinking 5-0 is on this time.

I've read some talk saying the team thinks it's a possibility. They came in 2001 intent on a historic whitewash, only Mark Butcher stopping them at Headingley.

They even ask Haddin about KP.

Haddin has enjoyed himself against England. Without looking at stats, I'd say his record is as good as Gilchrist's, when talking of the ashes.

Yes, he has that annoying habit of hitting the ball round the park just when you don't want him too - as well as taking some stonking catches!

The sort of player who demonstrated you don't necessarily need to have style or a great technique to be an effective player who can make a difference.

Gilly played 20 times against England to Braddin's 19, but Haddin scored more runs. Both have three tons v the Poms, but Brad has 11 fifties to Gilly's six. Though Gilchrist averages 45 against England to Haddin's 43.

Haddin is the second highest keeper run scorer against England behind Rod Marsh who played England over twice more often.

Of keepers to have scored more than 500 runs against England, BK Kunderan of India has the best average, at 48, then Gilly.
