Let Down XI

We've had our best XI from the world cup, but what about a team of players (not England) who have been a let down, not necessarily the worst XI.

Amla - one ton and couple of starts, then it all went wrong.
Sharma - One very good hundred apart, a disappointing tournament for the world record holder.
Kohli - One ton promised a great tournament. Went seriously off the boil after that.
Williamson - Was in magnificent form prior to the world cup. Has one more chance to redeem himself, though.
Ross Taylor - was once one of the best players ODI in the world but has batted like he's English. Like Kane, has one more chance.
Morgan - Many might not have expected much, but I did.
De Kock - Like Amla, had a poor tournament, given his past record.
Matthews - Sri-Lanka's key all-rounder didn't do much with bat or ball.
Steyn - The peaky blinder, bowled without menace.
Broad - Arguably England's best ODI bowler had a stinker.
Anderson - Ordered (I hope) to bowl short, and it failed.

I'm afraid I can't see past the England players although a mention has to go to Scotland's Calum MacLeod.

Watson's done fine. In fact, he's done better than expected.

He hasn't hurt himself, so I guess you're right.

Finn sort of did ok against Scotland. But I ignored performances against non quarter finalists. Finn did really badly against the big sides (Last three balls hat trick v Australia was meaningless).

4.Jayawardene
5.R Taylor
6.Morgan

In terms of players who before the tournament had excellent reputations and completely failed to live up to them:

De Kock
Warner
Kohli
Williamson
Jayawardene
Morgan
Ronchi
J Taylor
Broad
Anderson
Steyn
