NZ have some decent one day players.

Could be the surprise package of the WC.

Surprised to see no Jeetan Patel in the 30 man squad, considering that he has bossed it in County Cricket this year.

Patel turned NZ down recently, and they will struggle to get Dan and NMcC into the side.

I thought Jesse got recalled for NZ and then got kicked out for drinking late again. He'd be a shoo in for the team, otherwise.

Are they 'dark horses' again? They are probably popular favourites for the semis.

I wonder what odds they are to reach the final. Might be worth a punt.

na Jesse asked to withdraw from a squad, due to personal reasons, he wasn't kicked out.

Jeetan patel got kicked out for rejecting international cricket and instead playing county cricket for Warwickshire.

I personally think it is a disgrace that players can reject playing for there countries because of money.

Patel has a career at the Bears, it's completely different to players jetting off to play in T20 competitions.

What counties want is quality players who can play all season. Patel started playing for the Bears half a decade ago now, he is as much part of the team as any other player, he is not a first choice selection for the Kiwis. Why would he jepordise his career for a one off call up as a squad player with no guarantee of continued selection. It is completely different to the international stars who sign up to play in T20 leagues.

Sean Ervine refused to play for Zimbabwe because it would have made him have to be an overseas player in England instead of a domestic player. Ervine is a fine cricketer but he's not going to be picked up over the international talent out there. I suppose him putting his career above his country was also wrong.

There is a big difference between a quick pay day and a career.

Still think it is a disgrace considering J petal could still play for Warwickshire after the tour is finished.

Also don't even get me started on the Kolpack rules.
I hate it when Bumble goes on about how Faf du plesis is a disgrace for breaking his contract, the disgrace party here is Lancashire for forcing someone to turn their back on their country.
