Does seem strange, and after the Jadeja incident we know not to take James word on things. If it did happen then Clarkes a lier and Andersons just seems petulant.
I thought in the last series Mitch was being pretty arrogant. Why didnt James hit him? Maybe a bit to big to try to bully?

Jimmy gave him some grief on the previous tour. Just on field stuff, not quite the same. And to think Footballers get a bad name

Indeed.
Clarke admitted that he did say Andersons arm would be broken, so no love lost.
Give them all a hand bag and let them get on with it.

Arthur Crabtree wrote:In the 2010-11 Ashes dvd documentary, Haddin and another player single out Anderson as someone they are desperate not to lose to. They felt that England rubbed Australia's face in it, in an unKiplingesque way, so that would mean in 2009, and singled out Jimmy in that regard. When they won last time, it seems like a lot of the pleasure was in stuffing a group of people they didn't particularly like, Anderson in particular.
But it seems England are generally disliked, even pro-ECB journos accept that.
