Will never read James Andersons book.

But was this in it?

And if he did do this, well maybe what KP says is true. I mean who hits someone because they think they are arrogant? KP would have been murdered in the dressing room every test.

I don't think somebody would lie about hitting somebody with a pad. I could understand the opposite and Jimmy denying it. Sounds quite amusing.

Does seem strange, and after the Jadeja incident we know not to take James word on things. If it did happen then Clarkes a lier and Andersons just seems petulant.

I thought in the last series Mitch was being pretty arrogant. Why didnt James hit him? Maybe a bit to big to try to bully?

Jimmy gave him some grief on the previous tour. Just on field stuff, not quite the same. And to think Footballers get a bad name :-)

Indeed. :laugh

Clarke admitted that he did say Andersons arm would be broken, so no love lost.

Give them all a hand bag and let them get on with it.

He didn't need to admit it, the stump mike captured it perfectly.

Very bizarre situation. If Clarke is lying, then why wasn't Anderson punished for hitting an opposition player, and is he isn't lying, why the hell would Jimmy lie about it?

He looks stupid either way, and I do question an opposition captain feeling the need to do that.... it does increasingly seem like England have made some strong enemies in the recent past.

In the 2010-11 Ashes dvd documentary, Haddin and another player single out Anderson as someone they are desperate not to lose to. They felt that England rubbed Australia's face in it, in an unKiplingesque way, so that would mean in 2009, and singled out Jimmy in that regard. When they won last time, it seems like a lot of the pleasure was in stuffing a group of people they didn't particularly like, Anderson in particular.

But it seems England are generally disliked, even pro-ECB journos accept that.

I'm guessing that Pietersen is probably liked more than anyone else by the opposition players, just not his own, well at least some of them.

Who needs friends when we have Stuart "The Enforcer" Broad and Ali "Man of Steel" Cook..... if anyone complains, then Captain Enforcer can stun anyone with a barrage of short pitch balls that sail aimlessly over peoples heads, and the superman can attempt to kill slip fielders by hitting the ball at them

KP obviously bears grudges and won't let his grievances go. But he seems to have had reasonable relationships with all the batters. Just very few from 7-11 in the order.
