Cricket Australia announce that the sudden loss of form and rhythm from Mitchell Johnson, that culminated in Englands shock ashes series win at Sydney, was due in no small part to the unbalancing effect of his unfeasibly large moustache.

"It got so heavy that I couldn't keep my head up, and kept spraying the ball down the leg side" said the moustacio'd bruiser "but when my bowling coach identified the problem, and got me to shave it off, my head was so light, I kept firing the ball straight to Pup at second slip"

"My mam called me a disgrace to Australia............... I am heartbroken!"
