It is revealed that CMS resident poster D/L was the main reason why Matt Prior decided to stand down.

"D/L hunted him mercilessly and made his position and Alastair Cook's job difficult for any player," Mark Robinson told BBC Radio Sussex.

"With Matt carrying injuries it probably got a bit too much and he has done the right thing to pull himself out.

"D/L scrutinises every move he does, even when he takes a difficult catch or makes a big score it is described as "luck". It almost makes it impossible for him to do his job, as it is for the England captain. Every move they make is under enormous pressure."

Following being granted British citizenship following his numerous spells in the UK, Shane Warne announces his comeback to Test cricket, and indicates that he would be the ideal candidate to replace Alistair Cook as England captain. Warne further suggests that his mate KP will serve as his deputy.

MS Dhoni defended the decision not to bowl extra overs as India bowled their 90 over allocation before 6pm, citing the players wanted to listen to the Shipping Forecast.
