That should have no bearing anyway considering all the games are recorded and the selectors and coach can view every ball every team faces.
Flower actually use to watch quite a bit of players like this.

TBH Bayliss should be able to keep on tabs lots of county players without even watching one game live.

How many county games have been televised this year? It's time you started to match your opinions to the real world.

I think they're all recorded by the counties and shown online. Notts certainly do that. I've not seen them, but I think the camera is only covering the strip.

I've watched the Glamorgan ste games but I wouldn't pick an England team based on what they show.

Well Compton has taking himself out of selection.

Given what I've read on the BBC website about his personal issues and so on, which the England set-up should have known about, it is astonishing that he was selected in the first place.

Did they learn nothing from their experience with players like Trott etc?

Absolutely beggars belief.

Aye, Kipper. T'is a worry how another player has been seemingly thrown under the wheels.

Maybe bayliss doesn't like them like you don't either, but Flower did pick players on it and he said it on sky.

when he was in charge all the selectors/Flower were able to keep up and watch all the county games from their laptops or tablets.

of course they didn't purely base it on that but suspect they had to use it since they have what 4-6 selectors impossible to watch all the games/players at the same time.

Seems like Anderson will almost certainly be out of the first test with a stress fracture of his right shoulder.

Hopefully he will play some part in the series later.

Ball comes in, then. Broad, Woakes, Finn and Ball.

Rashid has had a decent ODI series, maybe an outside chance he'll be added to the squad.

Except Stokes will be fit, so he'll come in for Anderson.

Woakes to get an audition with the new ball maybe?

Anderson said he will be fine. This has only come up because they wondered why he would be missing the Notts/Lancs game. I would give him the Durham game which starts 3 days into the 1st Test to get overs under his belt.

If Anderson was missing I would think Finn and Broad would take the new ball. Finn is more senior than Woakes. It's a shame that Finn was looking toward leading the attack in the ODIs but finds himself the drinks carrier. Why would you leave out your best bowler?

I was just thinking it's usually Anderson from the Pavilion End and Broad from the Nursery End but after all the commentators saying they are bowing at the wrong ends they have decided to reverse them. Broad now bowls from the Pavilion End so Woakes would get the Nursery End and then Finn, who likes the Pavilion End. It will still be a road unless there is weather around.
