It's going to be interesting to see how this plays out. Graves stated that the selectors can not ignore a player, but here we have the Chair of Selectors saying that's exactly what they are going to be doing.

Decision time for Graves, does he crush the nonsense or simply be swallowed up by it.

I'll be amazed if KP plays for England again. Just can't see it happening, that said Graves must have had a reason for his comments hinting at a possible comeback. If it was an attempt to call KP's bluff it seems to have backfired.

It's clear that unless Downton and Whitaker are removed, KP will not play for England again. What's not clear is whether Downton et al will be in a job much longer.

Could he play while Cook was captain and Anderson/Broad in the team? Suppose if things go badly this summer ( and that's a likely scenario) those 3 could be in the firing line.

KP's book focused most of his anger on Prior ( any chance he could return?) but Broad & Anderson took some flak and while he didn't aim both barrels at Cook it was clear KP regards him as a weak leader.
