Well Westfield got 4 months.

Lets hope the police are able to get enough evidence on Kaneria.

I suspect they wont get enough evidence on Kaneria..

The ICC, ECB and PCB have issued a joint rebutal to Kaneria's statement that he had received Clearance certificates from them.

iirc under the ICC code of conduct you are just as guilty as the person who did the action if you had any part in arranging for it to take place

So long after the fact, I am doubtful whether anything concrete will turn up with regards to Kaneria unless of course the PCB have some information that they have not yet shared with the cricketing world and Westfield's comments could just be a drowning rat trying to buy himself a peice of driftwood.

Either way, I suspect Kaneria's international career is over as well as any chance of him playing in the LVCC again, sometimes the tiniest stain can mean you have to throw out a shirt after all.

THe ECB are bringing disciplinary procesedings against Kaneria and Westfield.

http://www.espncricinfo.com/england/content/story/559998.html

Kaneria has in turn hired 3 legal teams, to represent him

http://www.espncricinfo.com/england/content/current/story/560539.html

As a result he is seeking to delay the tribunal by a couple of weeks, as there is not thought to be enought time for him to apply for a visa and for both the UK and Pakistan solicitors to put together a defence or rebutal of the evidence.

If found guilty by the ECB and is banned from playing in england all other ICC affiliated boards must also respect this ban, as a lot of the evidence is most likley hearsay, it would be unlikely they would issue a life time ban, but a 2-3 year ban is likely, and would but finish his cricket career.

real shame that Kaneria got invoovled in fixing....class leg spinner, didnt need to get invovled in all this, but if he is guilty then a ban seems reasonable enough.

Speculation is Indian domestic cricket, now. BCCI Corporate Trophy apparently. So not FC or anything.

I am not surprised with allegations of spot fixing in Indian domestic cricket. It is not something which is new. It's all about administrative auth.., players and umpys's as well.
