Taylor is a must for me, he is a prodigious talent capable of both batting sensibly and clearing the ropes.

Matt Dunn is a fast bowler i think we should keep an eye on. Thing is he can't even get in the Surrey one day side...

England should take the chance following to World Cup to completely rebuild the one day side. It is an ideal opportunity to persuade the likes of Anderson and Bell to retire from ODI cricket. I'm not too fussed about Morgan staying in the side because he is a very good ODI cricketer and at 28 could easily captain the side through to the next World Cup.

We need to get the likes of Vince, Roy and Stokes in the side and persist with them, but do England have the balls to take a few series losses with a long term goal? Unlikely.

Lots of batsmen to build the team around. Hales, Ali, Roy, Taylor, Vince, Root, Buttler, Stokes and Billings to name a few. The bowling worries me.

Not ideal but new players are invariabley blooded in testing circumstances otherwise changes wouldn't be necessary. Also it's a good test of character Forthcoming series against W. Indies is an ideal opportunity for new blood given the best W. Indians will be at the IPL..

lets hope we lose to afghanistan then hopefully

moores, farbrace, saker, downton etc etc all get the chop

they need to rip everything down and build from the ground up

first thing is to get someone in charge who has the right mental attitude, cricket is not one on a stats machine

i dont think we need someone with all the right coaching credentials, i want someone who will get the team playing the right brand of cricket

someone like nasser or michael vaughan (preferrably not them) a cricket person who wont rely on stats, you have batting, bowling and fielding coaches who do most of the work you need someone to sort of the team philosophy and motivate the players

the thing that annoys me the most is that there was this talk of the "stats" saying you win almost every time you make 300, that is not true in england case i believe we have lost the game 9 or 10 of the 28-30 times we have posted 300 in the first innings

and 4 years before that

they had a whole report done then, coming as it did immediately after the humiliating ashes whitewash that happened before the last humiliating ashes whitewash

I wonder if Schofield fancies heading up another inquiry that can be ignored (barring a little bit of lip service) after it's published?
